Controlling Costs Through The Strategic Use Of Support Staff
We heavily leverage the services of support staff in our practice. We have very capable paralegals whose efficient, behind-the-scenes work can help clients significantly reduce costs. Sole practitioners who have no support staff end up forcing clients to pay the attorney's high hourly rate for work that could easily have been accomplished by a paralegal.
The hourly rate that a particular attorney charges is only one small factor in the overall cost of a case. After reviewing countless affidavits for divorce clients, we have discovered that our client often ends up spending significantly less than the other party does, even when the other party hires a lawyer with lower hourly rates. How is this possible? It is due to our strategic and judicious use of paraprofessionals to control legal costs.
Utilizing Cutting-Edge Technology
Our law firm is also highly skilled at utilizing technology on our clients' behalves. Attorney Robert B. Wareham is the technology chair for the Arapahoe County Bar Association. He also has a professional background in telecommunications and IT, and he frequently lectures other lawyers and judges on the use and adoption of technology in the legal arena.
Our clients have 24/7 access to their case files, allowing them to securely access court orders within minutes. In addition, all of our offices are equipped with state-of-the-art videoconferencing equipment, making virtual meetings possible for clients in remote areas.
About The Initial Consultation
Different fee plans exist for different types of cases. Likewise, complimentary initial consultations are offered in certain types of cases and not others. We offer estate planning clients a complimentary consultation in order to gather necessary information and make an appropriate assessment.
Out of respect for the paying clients who deserve our time and attention, we do charge a nominal fee in family law, criminal defense and other types of cases. This fee is between $150 and $200 for a 30-minute appointment. If a client decides to retain us, the initial 30 minutes will be credited toward any additional time spent on the case.
